"Every Science begins as Philosophy and ends as Art." -Will Durant
Jaime Cooper is a national artist specializing in representational oil painting, especially portraits, figurative works, and landscape. Jaime earned a BS in microbiology and an MS in genetics from Penn State. Her science background gives her an excellent understanding of the math, science, and anatomy behind classical art. She then studied art via workshops at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA and the Art League in Alexandria, VA. Her work is represented by Patricia Hutton Galleries in Bucks County, PA. She has exhibited nationally, including at the Salmagundi Club in New York City. She is a Fellow of the American Artist's Professional League and a rostered teaching artist with the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art. She recently illustrated her first children's book and is working hard on increasing her digital illustration skills.
